Business Registration

Choose a Business Structure

BOI Registration

BOI projects are approved under Section 16 and Section 17 of the Strategic Development Project Act.

Projects granted under section 16 are to facilitate entry of foreign investments and foreign shareholders to the country. These projects are not subjected to any fiscal concessions and are thereby governed by normal law of the country including inland revenue laws, customs laws, and exchange control regulations.

Projects granted under section 17 should invest a minimum investment threshold of USD 3 Mn upwards. These companies are granted exemptions from laws such as Customs Ordinance and also enjoy special incentives.
